stop的過去式是：stopped。stop的含義是n.停止，車站，逗留，障礙，風琴的音栓，填塞。vi.停止，被塞住。vt.塞住，堵塞，阻止，擊落，斷絕，終止，難倒。其它詞形變化：過去分詞是：stopped；第三人稱單數(shù)是：stops；現(xiàn)在分詞是：stopping。
stop用法stop doing是停止做某事；
stop to do是停下來做另一件事；
stop…from doing是阻止做某事。
1.This behaviour must stop ─ do I make myself clear?
這種行為必須停止——我講清楚了吧？
2.If I had the choice, I would stop working tomorrow.
如果讓我選擇，我明天就停止工作。
3.I want to go and you can't stop me.
我要走，你攔不住我。
4.You can't stop people from saying what they think.
人們怎么想就會怎么說，你阻止不了。
5.It is time to put a stop to the violence.
