mistakes是mistake的復(fù)數(shù)形式，而mistake是可數(shù)的。mistake既可以作名詞也可作動詞,作為名詞意思為錯誤、過失、失策,作為動詞時意思為誤會、把…誤認(rèn)為。
mistake的用法1.表示“錯誤”，通常為可數(shù)名詞；表示犯錯誤，通常用動詞make；另外注意與介詞常用搭配。如：
You made a mistake about the time.你弄錯了時間預(yù)測（數(shù)據(jù)為往年僅供參考）。
She made a mistake over the bill.她把賬算錯了。
Don’t make any mistake about me.不要誤解我的意思。
用于by mistake,意為“錯誤地”“弄錯地”。如：
The nurse gave me the wrong medicine by mistake.護士給我吃錯了藥。
I’m sorry, I opened one of your letters by mistake.對不起，我錯拆了你的一封信。
2.用作動詞，表示“把……誤認(rèn)為是……”，一般用介詞for。如：
She mistook a rope for a snake.她把一條繩子誤認(rèn)為蛇。
I had mistaken friendship for love.我誤把友情當(dāng)成了愛情。
